StockTalk is a social-stock app where you can connect with friends and other people in your community and grow wealth together. You have the ability to view different stocks and even your connections positions if they are public. StockTalk is community focused by allowing privacy permissions that allow only your connections to solely view your positions if they are allowed.
For social apps, they key is community and sharing. Even though we knew this was a very important aspect we also deal with customers stock portfolios, which could be sensitive information to some. We solved this problem by having friend and community specific permissions that allows the user to tailor their privacy to there wants and needs.
This website was created to promote and sell custom clothing for a clothing designer. We decided to keep the website white and simple which allows the colors of his images and products to effortlessly pop off the page.
Before being hired for this job the client explained how difficult this process has been to maintain his hard work on everything alone. From creating clothes to designing the site he did it all himself. Main solution for him was finding a way to maintain his site without much work or prior website knowledge. I then introduced him to Shopify where their reputation is known for quick and efficiently helping customers maintain e-commerce websites.

Hand coded using HTML, CSS, and Javascript, this site highlights the Lead Front-End Developer's graphic design projects created in multiple editing softwares such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom. In addition, his use of complex javascript animations such as parallax scrolling, SVG path drawing, and general micro animations throughout display his attention to detail as well as valuing the little things that make a project cohesive.
Hand coding this site from scratch had many challenges from bug filled code to struggling to efficiently structure all pertinent information for an enriched user experience. The most prominent difficulty was website responsiveness among all device screen sizes to ensure consistent and easily accessible usability.

I graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor's degree in Interactive Design. He is professionally a software developer, but through great interest in the world of design, utilized the abundance of online resources to learn the foundation and blossomed from there. His vision is to captivate the public through combining the skills of developing efficient software with his eye for visually mesmerizing graphics to enhance user experience.
